What is FLOMIN™ DCA designed for?

Mining operations generate dust wherever materials are handled, transported, crushed, dumped or exposed to wind. This dust affects worker safety, visibility, environmental compliance and operational continuity — while water‑only suppression is inefficient due to rapid evaporation.

FLOMIN™ DCA combines two advanced chemistries:

Wetting agents improve water’s wettability and enhance dust knockdown at conveyors, crushers and transfer points. On coal fines, they can reduce water usage by at least 20%.

Binding additives create a long‑lasting elastic crust on haul roads, tailings and stockpiles. This reduces water consumption from around 150 L/m² per day to about 5 L/m² per month, and greatly reduces the number of required water‑truck rotations.

Haul Roads
Vehicle traffic and road degradation generate high dust volumes. Binding additives stabilize the surface and prevent dust release over long periods.

Stockpiles
Newly formed or inactive piles release dust through wind erosion. Binding agents protect the surface and prevent loss of valuable materials.

Conveyors & Transfer Chutes
Material drops and mechanical impact generate fine dust. Wetting agents improve water droplet formation and reduce airborne emissions.

Truck and Railcar Dumping
Large volumes of material displaced in a few seconds generate significant dust plumes. Wetting agents suppress these dust clouds effectively.

Tailings
Tailings beaches and embankments emit dust during deposition or under wind exposure. FLOMIN™ DCA assists surface consolidation and reduces wind‑driven erosion.
